Asopafit Canoita Basket

On my trip to visit Blanca Lilia and the Asopafit Association, I was lovingly hosted in her home. One morning I asked if she could show me her storage room and there it was sitting alone in one corner.She had named it "La Canoita" (the canoe) … a unique piece conceived in her mind and brought to reality as a beautifully woven and organically engineered rocking basket.Blanca Lilia allowed me to keep this prototype and soon after,  I was able to send her back detailed drawings of "La Canoita" so she could replicate her creation as a new series in the collection.
