Incorporating their striking ancestral symbology, these baskets combine centuries of tradition with timeless functionality. Majié translates to 'I'll share and teach something I know" - a reflection that basket weaving is intrinsic to the Tapurucuara community.  This weaving group came together with the support from the Wildlife organization to strengthen this ancestral tradition and help preserve the plants that provide fiber for basket weaving.
