Advent 2023 - Herbal - Day 20 - Pear Walnut Herbal

Welcome to Day 20 of our 2023 Herbal Advent.   Fun fact, I've lived under chestnut trees for the past 10 years! Oregon is known for hazelnuts, but we have chestnuts too. And we haven't done many chesnut specific teas for the herbal folks, so I decided to give it a try. One previous blend that our customers continue to talk about was "Snowy Mountain," which was a riff on the French dessert mont blanc - it's basically a chesnut creme. Chestnut needs a little body, which is why this tea is a decaf black to give it that structure to let the flavor notes stand out.   This is one of the blends I strongly recommend "keeping it clean" - e.g. don't add any sweetner, milk, etc. to it until you've tried it plain first. You can always add stuff in, but you can't take it out.
