Use any glass cleaner you like.  Stand it up, lay it down, either way...Light it up! This started as a lump of mud. I threw the basic shape on the wheel, then trimmed off excess clay after a day or two of drying. After trimming, the piece was left to dry completely before being placed in the kiln for the first firing. It goes back into the kiln once more after 2-3 layers of glaze has been applied to the piece.
