And I think we did it. Regardless, it tastes like Christmas in Northwest Italy. Herby and cheesy laced with a little bright sweetness from the roasted red pepper puree we drizzled over it. It's simple and wholesome and comforting without feeling heavy.  I really don't think you need a flavor description with this one. It's has a nice smokey flavor and aroma from the smoked sausages, not from sitting in a crock pot for 9 hours. Hope you love it! Merry Christmas!
