Flexible High Impact Cast Urethane (Shore 30 D)

Checkerspot Cast PU 1069 matches the impact strength of ABS, including in cold temperatures. Potential applications include sidewalls in skis and snowboards, and other applications that require a flexible material. This two-component polyurethane casting system is formulated with 71% biobased content (ASTM D6866). It gels in 55 minutes and can be removed from the mold in 24 hours. For accelerated curing, post-bake at 80C (176F) for 30 minutes. Pigmented material (with dispersion loading at 2% by total weight) transitions from flexible (Shore 30 D) in room temperature to semi-rigid (Shore 50+ D) in freezing temperatures.
