An early Art Deco era, diamond cluster ring, with a low, domed profile, whose primary gem is a .46 carat old European cut diamond. This primary diamond is bead-set into an octagonal seat, where it is surrounded by a bevy of old cut supporters. Four diamonds, in lobe-shaped seats, flank the primary stone, creating the impression of a quatrefoil. Astride these, a pair of diamond-set fleur de lis, that extend into the ring's shoulders. The ring's face and gallery are also decorated with hand-pierced curls or plumes, and its shank is engraved a delicate wheat pattern. This is an outstanding early dome ring, with wonderful proportions and an admirable icy sparkle! It would make a lovely engagement ring.
