Edwardian Diamond Star Engagement Ring
An elegant Edwardian era ring, modeled in 14k gold and platinum, whose east/west-oriented, oval face features a prominent, four-pointed star. This star-shaped seat holds a glittering old European cut diamond— engraved rays surround the diamond-set star, which is surmounted by an engraved, wreath-like, wheat-pattern border. The ring's platinum face is subtly domed. Its yellow gold shoulders and gallery are embellished with further engraved details (wheat patterns, pennants, and starbursts). Its slender, half-round shank tapers dramatically toward the base. We rarely find these petite, delicately-engraved Edwardian engagement rings— this one is especially endearing, and very crisp! Its little diamond is fine and beautifully-cut! Materials 14k GoldPlatinumDiamond Age c. 1910 Size US 7 3/4 This ring can be resized (down to US 5, and up to US 8 1/2).
