A charming Edwardian era ring, modeled in 14k gold, whose navette-shaped face is decorated with glassy, cobalt-blue enamel. This petite navette has a circular opening at its center, where a sparkling, 1/3 carat, old mine cut diamond rests in a "floating" platinum bezel. A pair of shapely, diamond-set, platinum forms accent the north and south points of the ring face, reading like plumes extending (erupting, exploding!) from this primary diamond. The ring's split shoulders are made to recall a pair of fluer de lis, and its slender, half-round shank tapers toward the base. We love this unusual beauty for its bold graphic quality, and we love how that quality lives in harmony (here) with the delicate, airy gestures more commonly associated with this era. This is a rare style, and it is very flattering in wear! It would make a wonderful, unique engagement ring.
