Edwardian Bloodstone Signet Ring
An Edwardian era signet ring, modeled in 10k rosy yellow gold, whose gem is a striking bloodstone slab. This beautifully figured, rectangular bloodstone specimen has rounded corners and a beveled edge. It is set in a smooth, low-profile bezel. Its dark green (almost black) field is marked with a spattering of well-defined, vibrant red flecks that read like blood splattered across the surface of a rock. This ring is decorated with curling hand-engraved plumes that spread across its gallery and shoulders. The ring's half-round shank tapers toward the base. This ring was originally intended for a man, but its scale is medium-sized, by today's standards—it is well suited to all genders. This bears a maker's mark (a star inside a B-shaped cartouche). It is engraved with a dedication: "From Emma to Harry." Its partner is engraved "Harry to Emma," and is dated Feb 7th 1904.
