Sure to please any fan of great English ciders! From Liberty's Artisan Series, 55 Chain is made in the English "West County" style cider from a blend of Dabinett, Chisel Jersey, and Brown's apples. Native yeast fermented and aged in oak barrels. Apples were grown and hand-picked at Bishops' Orchard in Garfield, WA, near Steptoe Butte. The "chain" is a reference to Gunter’s Chain, a measuring tool used by English surveyors for a couple hundred years (1600-1800s). Notes of ripe apple, quince, oak, leather, and butterscotch. Pairs nicely with sharp cheddar, figs, prosciutto, smoked duck, or roasted vegetables.
