Greenwood Cider - Barrel-Aged Asian Pear (500 ML)
Greenwood Cider's Barrel-Aged Asian Pear is a perry (100% pear wine) made from a blend of two asian pear varieties: Chjuro and Mishirasu. After fermentation, the finished perry is aged for six months in bourbon barrels. The result is a semi-sweet cider with balanced bourbon and oak flavors, and notes of lemon pith and grapefruit. FYIs: Perry = 100% pear juice fermented into a pear wine. Perry is typically made from specific perry pear varieties not widely considered suitable for eating. Pear cider is an alcoholic cider made from fermented apple juice that is later flavored with classic dessert or eating pears. Asian pear varieties are less frequently used for perry, though we're seeing them blended into excellent perries more and more.
