Yonder Cider - Pommeau (375 mL)

  Ahhhhh... there's nothing like a sip of Pommeau! What is Pommeau? Pommeau is a blend of apple brandy and fresh apple juice that is allowed to age in barrels for at least 3-5 years before bottling. The high alcohol percentage of the apple brandy prevents juice from fermenting. The result is a higher ABV (generally around 18%) aperitif that is sweet and carries a ton of complexity resulting from the marriage of the alcoholic brandy, sweet apple juice (often using complex bittersweet and bittersharp French apple varieties), and time in the barrel. Typically enjoyed 1-2 ounces at a time before or after dinner. Given it's high alcohol content and that it's not carbonated, a Pomemau will often age well for years like a fine spirit - if you can avoid indulging that long!  Yonder's Pommeau is made in collaboration with Oregon's legendary E.Z.
