2Naturkinder Vater & Sohn NV

2Naturkinder Vater & Sohn is a white blend crafted from Müller-Thurgau (77%), Silvaner (14%), and Riesling (9%) grapes. The vineyards are located in Kitzingen and Volkach, within the Franconia region of Germany, and are characterized by limestone soils that impart minerality to the wines. The grapes are hand-harvested, foot-trodden, and pressed shortly after. Fermentation and aging occur partly in large oak barrels and stainless steel tanks. The wine remains on the lees until the following summer, enhancing its complexity and mouthfeel. A splash of Riesling is added before bottling to introduce additional aromatic freshness. This blend pays homage to winemaker Michael and his father collaborating on blends together.
