Château Guilhem Pot de Vin 2022 is made from 100% Merlot grown in the Malepère area of Pays d'Oc IGP. Bertrand Gourdou, the fifth generation at Château Guilhem, produces this wine from a single biodynamically farmed vineyard on clay-limestone slopes at 250 to 400 meters elevation. The wine is fermented with native yeasts in concrete tanks built by Gourdou's grandfather, with minimal sulfur dioxide added. Château Guilhem Pot de Vin 2022 receives no oak aging, preserving the fresh character of the fruit. The terroir benefits from both Atlantic and Mediterranean influences, with calcareous sandstone soils that retain winter moisture for summer growth.
