Chiorri Sangiovese is produced from 100% Sangiovese grapes grown in the family's 25-hectare estate in Sant'Enea, near Perugia, Umbria. The vineyards are situated on hilly terrain with east-west exposure on soils of medium consistency, receiving sunlight from dawn to sunset. Chiorri, a family-run winery established in the late 1800s, achieved SQNPI certification (National Quality System for Integrated Production) with the 2020 harvest, the first in Umbria. The wine carries Umbria IGT designation. Chiorri Sangiovese 2021 ferments in stainless steel tanks with minimal intervention, using no artificial stabilizing methods.
