Christian Binner Si Rose Skin Contact NV is crafted from a blend of Gewürztraminer and Pinot Gris grapes grown organically and biodynamically in Ammerschwihr, Alsace. The aromatic grapes undergo an extended 8-month skin maceration in old oak barrels to develop the distinctive orange color and complex structure. Hand-harvested in late October for optimal ripeness, the wine ferments with native yeasts and ages in large Alsatian foudres. Bottled unfined, unfiltered with no added sulfur, this wine represents multiple vintages blended using a solera-style system at 13% alcohol.
