Christian Tschida Himmel auf Erden Rosé 2022

Christian Tschida Himmel auf Erden Rosé is crafted primarily from Cabernet Franc with a small addition of Blaufränkisch grapes from the Thenau and Edelgraben vineyard sites in Burgenland, Austria. The vineyards grow on sandy gravel, schist, and limestone soils at high elevations near Lake Neusiedl. Hand-harvested over five different days, the grapes are destemmed and foot-crushed before spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts in large oak barrels. The wine ages for 12 months in 500-1200 liter barrels and is bottled without fining, filtering, or sulfur additions.
