It allows the XLi to run from a 12V to 18V DC power source (usually a battery). Both outputs are fully working. Cosmetic condition is very good. The fan has just been replaced with a new dual ball bearing type so it shouldn't start getting noisy for some years. Note that this is a multiple item listing so there will be very small (but non-performance affecting) cosmetic differences between the units.
