Early 1900's Antique French Classical Female Nude Charcoal Figure Drawing on Paper, c. 1913
This beautiful antique charcoal nude drawing is dated August 1913 (noted in photos). Though the artist is unknown, this exquisite early 1900's artwork is a beautiful nod to Classicism and the beauty of figure drawing. Curated from France, the delicacy of line and shading makes this a studio favorite. You will note the French paper mill Souche's watermark can be identified on the artwork. This piece is in very good shape showing only the natural aging of paper with minimal foxing, as can be expected with antique artwork from this period. The artwork comes with a gallery style frame and 4" archival, acid-free mat and Acrylite Conservation Glazing, filtering out 99% of harmful UV light. Frame style/color selection available upon checkout, with additional mat and frame options available upon request.
