Vintage 1920s Dewar Mfg Co  Dew-R-Lite Carbide 6.5" Miners Mining Lantern Lamp w/Handle & Hook - Empty - Patent Date: Nov 2, 1926 This is a vintage 1926 Dewar Mfg Co Dew-R-Lite carbide miners lantern lamp designed to be carried or hung and fueled by carbide to produce light from the flame. While no longer functional as a light source, it makes for an excellent collectible piece of mining history. Appears to be designed to be hung or held. Approx. Dimensions: 6-1/2" T x 3-1/8" W x 5-1/2" D w/3" Reflector Sold as is. No warranty from the seller. No Returns. CONDITION NOTE: Used, but in Fair condition overall for its age. Not tested. The lantern has various nicks, dents, scratches with some surface corrosion (on the reflector) and dust/dirt (see pictures). The unit could not be unscrewed to see inside the container, and I did not want to force it.
