This hymn piano duet sheet music arrangement is designed for a beginner and an advanced pianist to play together at the same piano (one piano, four hands). It could be a teacher and a student or two students where one is a late beginner and the other is at an intermediate level. The arrangement begins with the Secondo part playing “fanfare” sounding chords and the Primo part presenting the melody sporadically with hands in unison. In the B section each performer will have a chance to present parts of the main theme and the Primo student will have one phrase in which the two hands are not in unison. The overall effect is that of “majesty” and “strength” symbolizing God as a mighty fortress.
