Crysalis Ring 1

Inspired by the silent unraveling of cocoons, the shedding of skin, the emergence of wings, the Metamorphosis Collection is a celebration of evolution in all its sensual, sculptural glory. The design in itself is a map of the chrysalis structure. Each piece is a form in motion, fluid lines, unfolding layers, soft silhouettes that echo the courage it takes to grow. Chrysalis Ring 1  was derived from the image of the butterfly cocoon. Its structure is mimicking the ribs and the lines of the layers of the chrysalis itself. But it has another deeper meaning of connection to nature through understanding the process of metamorphosis: the chrysalis means transformation  both inner and outer. The ring was digitally created and carefully cast from a 3D Printed mold followed by a manual casting process.  The digital design and 3D printed manufacturing process allows for custom creations.
