Red Fox’s quintessential mountaineering pack series gets tighter and trimmer without sacrificing any versatility. Our new Alpine Light packs maintain a consistent width throughout their length, tapering at the bottom to prevent getting snagged while climbing. We cut nearly half the weight by using 100 denier Robic, a super resilient fabric that shrugs off abrasion and resists punctures and tears. Our tried and true suspension system is built on a PE framesheet molded to the curves of your back (you can customize the bends) from two aluminum struts that form a triangle of support from your shoulders to the base of your spine. On top of that we add molded foam pads that rest softy against your back with a venting channel up the spine. Behind your head the pack is recessed, creating an occipital cavity so you can lift your head without bumping into the lid.
