Stays of the period generally retained the same shapes and seaming as earlier styles, but they shifted towards a curvier, hourglass silhouette. While this style has similar pieces when compared with our Regency long stays pattern, our 1830s stays have a less extreme push-up bustline, a lower hip line, and a higher, more defined waist.
