The Lydia Corset is our version of this famous corset in the collection at the V&A. This crinoline-era corset nips in the waist, is fairly short over the hips, and has a cupped, natural bust height placement. Rows and rows of synthetic whalebone, flossed right through in contrast thread, completes the historical look of this corset. After a few wearings, the synthetic whalebone will shape to the wearer, creating a softer hourglass shape. This style is appropriate for the 1850s until the bodice hem lines drop over the hips in the mid 1870s. Made to your measurements.
