One of my favorite places on earth is Paris' renowned shop Deyrolle, a temple to taxidermy and the natural sciences. Walk through its doors on the rue du Bac, and you'll meet a full-sized ostrich, perfectly preserved, and all manner of taxidermized birds, mammals, and reptiles holding court surrounded by walls of framed moths and butterflies. Downstairs at Deyrolle is a boutique offering gorgeous garden wares, designed by Louis Albert de Broglie, who is also known as the savior of Deyrolle. He funded its reconstruction after a fire destroyed the beloved shop. We are so pleased to offer some of the beautiful pieces found in Deyrolle's and Broglie's collection of garden tools and to bring a little bit of France to our corner of the world.
