A few summers ago, my sister I stumbled upon the charming French village of Biot in the Hautes-Maritimes, which we later discovered was known for it's verrerie handblown glassware. Intentionally designed to trap bubbles in the glass that in some production would be considered flaws, Biot glass became popular in the 1950s. We've taken inspiration from this serendipitous discovery and asked our glassblowing partner in Vermont to recreate the look. We've created these simple, elegant glasses in amethyst, turquoise, green and rose.
