This is the last painting Gustav Klimt worked on in his studio in 1917. It represents one of Klimt's favorite themes: a "beautiful Viennese". For once, it is not a lady of high society but a dancer, probably unknown, who gazes into the distance confidently and holds a fan in front of her chest.
