This kaftan is made by hand at our atelier from premium, deadstock silk fabrics we hand-select in the souks around Marrakech.  The silk kaftan has its origins in the ancient Middle East. Initially worn by nobility and elites in the Ottoman Empire, the garment later spread into various cultures, spanning North Africa and Central Asia. In Morocco, the kaftan became renowned for its intricate designs and opulent fabrics, initially symbolizing status and wealth. Today, it has evolved into a universally recognized versatile and elegant piece of clothing, combining contemporary styles with the historical richness of its heritage.
