Avant Garde Lavender Grey 1954 Emerson Model 816 Series B Vacuum Tube AM Radio Rare! Excellent Plus Condition! Sounds Great! DESCRIPTION: Avant garde looking design from the early to mid fifties. Tabletop vacuum tube AM radio manufactured by Emerson in 1954 time frame in excellent working and physical condition. CABINET CONDITION: The cabinet is in excellent condition with no cracks, chips, or major scratches. Original factory molded gray urea plastic through and through. No repaint. No over spray. No touch up. Urea plastic is a higher density plastic compared to polycarbonate and styrene based plastics. Slight rub off on dial numbers. Original factory gold grill fabric is in excellent condition with no rips, seams, bubbling, or separated edges. Small crack on clock clear cover at approximately 12 o'clock. SOUND QUALITY: Picks up AM very clearly and loudly around the dial without external attached antenna. The reception selectivity and sensitivity is excellent around the dial. KNOBS
