Hope Well 2020 Chardonnay Eola-Amity Hills

Tech Location: Willamette Valley, OR Alcohol: 12.3% Tasting Notes This rich yet restrained Chardonnay shows flavors of juicy stone fruit, citrus rind, wet stones, and grapefruit. Winemaking The grapes were pressed cold, the juice went to tank for one day, then straight to barrel with all but the green lees, for a cool, slow fermentation. Both primary and malolactic fermentations are done using ambient yeasts. The wine was aged for 10 months in 2 neutral French, oak barrels and 1 second pass barrel from 2019. Vineyard The Hope Well vineyard sits perched on a ridge in the Eola-Amity Hills of the Willamette Valley. It is meticulously farmed using 100% natural, organic and biodynamic methods. A chemical free environment that employs regenerative farming is important to create a place that thrives with biodiversity and wellbeing.
