Johan 2010 Traditional Method Sparkling
Tech Varieties: 60% Chardonnay, 40% Pinot Noir Location: Willamette Valley, OR Alcohol: 12.8% Tasting Notes With 9 years on the lees and bottled with zero dosage, this dry Brut Nature gives Champagne a run for its money. Winemaking This sparkling wine was crafted in the traditional Champagne method. The grapes were harvested in fall of 2010 and after the sparkling press cycle, the wine was fermented and aged for 10 months in barrel. In July of 2011, the wine was bottled and put to rest for 6.5 years on its lees. The final step was completed In January of 2018, where the wine was disgorged and finished with zero dosage. Vineyard Sourced from the Johan Estate Vineyards located in the Van Duzer Corridor AVA of the Willamette Valley in calcareous, sedimentary soils with granite. Johan Estate Vineyard is biodynamically farmed and Demeter certified.
