Baltic Amber "Sleepy Bees in the Smoke Light" Necklace - Amber Bee Collection #5
The bees hang low over the pink flowers in the smoke light, and the particles of smoke fluoresce blue-green to their eyes. The resins in the forests absorb the particles of glowing hydrocarbons contained in the smoke. In the past, in areas with fire, smoke imbued the resins which turned to fossil amber with all different kinds of luminosity resulting from various types of smoke in different conditions and times of the year. The blue amber in this necklace glows with the same shade as fire-light, and in sun has a beautiful blue halo. In black light it glows almost neon green, showing you the smoke signature of the past. The central piece on this neckace is a stellar piece of leopard jasper, which I paired with high-grade smokey quartz from a dear perfumer friend; a gift from her family collection, jet, pink agate from my mom, and rhodonite from my grandmother. Heavy Duty 925 Silver clasp, hand-knotted on irish linen. The BALTIC AMBER BEE COLLECTION 2022: I love doing bee theme
