This title is currently available as a digital download only. In the late 1980s and early 1990s, the popular West End Jazz Band produced a series of four limited-edition cassette-only releases. Recorded at IVS Studio in Chicago, the tapes captured the WEJB in fine form (and very good sound), playing a wide variety of selections, from ragtime, to hot and sweet dance of the 1920s and 1930s, to revival tunes associated with Turk Murphy, Lu Watters, and Wally Rose. The tapes were sold at the band's engagements and are quite rare today. Sadly, the original studio masters no longer exist, but Rivermont has arranged with WEJB leader Mike Bezin to reissue these four remarkable albums digitally for the first time, newly transferred from Bezin's own file copies of the tapes.
