It is powered by a 64-bit quad-core Arm Cortex-A76 processor operating at 2.4GHz, which provides a 2–3× increase in CPU performance compared to its predecessor, the Raspberry Pi 4. This model also features an 800MHz VideoCore VII GPU, enhancing graphics performance and supporting dual 4Kp60 display output via HDMI. The rearchitected Image Signal Processor supports state-of-the-art camera functionalities, making it suitable for both consumer and industrial applications. This iteration of Raspberry Pi is the first to utilize in-house silicon, with the RP1 "southbridge" significantly enhancing I/O capabilities and peripheral performance. The USB bandwidth has more than doubled, facilitating faster data transfer to external drives and peripherals. The MIPI camera and display interfaces have been upgraded to four-lane 1.5Gbps transceivers, tripling the total bandwidth and allowing for versatile combinations of up to two cameras or displays. Additionally, the platform now includes a single-lane PCI Express 2.0 interface, supporting high-bandwidth peripherals.
