Description Sequent Microsystems Analog/Digital Inputs 8-Layer Stackable HAT for Raspberry Pi Integrates versatile inputs for Raspberry Pi projects Features programmable bi-color status LEDs Offers RS485/MODBUS communication support Ensures timekeeping with real-time clock and battery Protects with TVS diodes and resettable fuse The Sequent Microsystems Analog/Digital Inputs 8-Layer Stackable HAT for Raspberry Pi offers a versatile solution for integrating multiple input types into Raspberry Pi projects. This HAT provides sixteen universal inputs, which can be configured via convenient dip switches to accommodate 1k or 10k thermistors, 0-10V analog signals, or digital contact closure and counter inputs. The device features programmable bi-color status LEDs that can indicate the status of digital inputs or trigger at specified analog input levels. Equipped with a real-time clock, the HAT ensures timekeeping continuity during power outages through a CR2032 battery backup. A hardware watchdog is included to monitor the Raspberry Pi and initiate a power cycle in the event of a software lockup. The HAT is designed with TVS diodes on all inputs to protect against external electrostatic discharge, and an on-board resettable fuse safeguards against accidental shorts. The HAT supports RS485/MODBUS communication and operates with a 32-bit processor running at 64MHz. It utilizes only the I2C port, leaving all GPIO pins available for other uses. Compatible with any Raspberry Pi model from ZERO to 5, the HAT is stackable up to eight layers, allowing for expanded functionality. It also includes pluggable connectors for easy wiring and integration with various software platforms, including command line, Python, Node-Red, Arduino, and Home Assistant.
