Ampyx cf. priscus, is a Lower Ordovician trilobite from Ait Zolli, Draa Valley, Morocco. Ampyx is noted for its three prominent spines on the head shield - one from each free cheek and one extending from the glabella.The body of the Ampyx (excluding the spine measurements) is 0.85 inches long. From the tip of the rostral spine to the tips of the cephalic spines, the animal measures 2.2 inches long. It is 1.3 inches wide at its widest. The entire plate measures 3.75 by 3.75 by 0.45 inches. A repair runs through the base of the right cephalic spine
