Morocconites malladoides is the only designated species within this genus, so far. The defining feature of the trilobite is its long, upturned spine extending off the cephalon. Some call it the unicorn trilobite. The function on the spine is not known. It dates from the Lower to Middle Devonian and comes from Morocco. The trilobite is 2.15 inches long (excluding the rostral spine) and 1.0 inches wide. The trilobite with the matrix is 3.33 inches by 3.0 inches by 1.45 inches. Well-preserved Schizochroal lenses are present in both eyes. The trilobite has a repair running through the left side of the cephalon and down the left side of the thorax.
