Originally found in the tropical rainforests of South America, the Philodendron White Princess is an extremely rare member of the Philodendron family. Philodendron enthusiasts may have heard of similar variations such as the White Knight and the White Wizard, but this lovely lady differs from those two because of her narrower, more pointed leaves. Those leaves, as her name implies, are green with white variegation, and their stems are slightly red. As if that weren’t unique enough, the White Princess is different from her other fellow Philodendrons because she doesn’t have long, snaking vines between her leaves. This particular specimen is “self-headed,” meaning that it has a stem that is barely visible through the thick foliage until its lower leaves begin to fall off as it ages.
