Dyed with Indigo This widely known and cherished plant dye is absolutely one of our favorites to work with. Indigo is a vat dye, and must be reduced to a water soluble format in order to be applied and chemically bound to fibers. When taken care of and nourished, indigo vats can be used repeatedly for decades. The dye process is time intensive, an always evolving learning process, and a true gift of blue to the plant dye community.
