He was one of the founders of the league as well.  The team won Lord Stanley's Cup in 1915, defeating the the original Senators from Ottawa. The Millionaires would make it back to the title game five more times but never won another Cup. In its later years the team joined the Western Canada Hockey League and changed its name to the Vancouver Maroons. Over its history , the team boasted 13 hall of fame players.
