You'll need to add the depth of your well with the PSI in feet of head to get your "Total Head" number for sizing.  10 PSI = 23 feet of head  20 PSI = 46 feet of head  30 PSI = 70 feet of head  40 PSI = 90 feet of head  50 PSI = 115 feet of head  60 PSI = 140 feet of head Example: 50 foot (well depth) + 90 feet of head (from a 40 PSI pressure tank) = 140 feet of total head. If your total head number exceeds this pumps ability range, size up to get a similar flow with higher head ability!  Need more water?
