No! (1954) Propaganda Poster

(Russian: Нет!) is a 1954 anti-alcohol poster by Viktor Govorkov (Russian: Виктор Говорков) which has become one of the most popular Soviet propaganda posters there is. Throughout the existence of the Soviet Union, a number of extensive anti-alcohol campaigns were carried out. The most serious campaigns were those of 1918-1923, 1929, 1958, 1972, and 1985-1990. This poster doesn't fit neatly into one of these major anti-drinking campaigns, and yet is utterly iconic due to its clear, simple message and somewhat risible imagery.  Original Poster Poster Quality Museum-quality posters made on thick and durable matte paper.
