The superior mattress support foundation allows for use without a box spring. Like all Montana Woodworks furniture, this bed is handcrafted in the U.S.A. using solid, U.S. grown pine. Drawers feature full extension, ball bearing slides. The mortise and tenon joinery system employed by our artisans has been used for millennia to join multiple components into a single, solid and strong assembly thus ensuring a truly heirloom quality piece that will last for generations to come.  This one of a kind "Glacier Country" look is achieved by removing the outer bark while leaving the inner stratum or "Cambium" layer.
