Smudge Stick

Smudging and Blessing Herbs. The use of smudge sticks like sage is for healing. The smoke is used to bless, cleanse and heal the person or object being smudged.  Sage is used to 'wash off' the outside world when one enters ceremony or other sacred space.  Burning sage or other smudge sticks neutralizes the positive charge and releases large amounts of negative ions into the atmosphere The pointed end of the bundle, while held over a bowl with sand is then ignited with fire. Blowing on the glowing surface will provide the fragrance. "Smoke".  This smudge stick features a blend of white sage with dragon's blood resin. After "smudging" rub out the lighted ember in the bowl of sand.  Then place the bundle on your sacred altar for future use.
