- Fuji Jū-Nikei no uchi, Koganei-zutsumi (The Embankment at Koganei in Musashi Province, From Twelve Views of Mt. Fuji)-
The breathtaking woodblock print "Fuji Jū-Nikei no uchi, Koganei-zutsumi" (The Embankment at Koganei in Musashi Province, from Twelve Views of Mt. Fuji) is by Hiroshige Ando (1797–1858). Koganei was a popular cherry blossom viewing spot in Edo. The print captures a wonderful spring scenery. There are rows of cherry blossom trees in full bloom on both banks of the Tamagawa Josui, and you can see Mt. Fuji in the distance. The title "Koganei-zutsumi", "Hiroshige" red seal, and embossed seal are in the lower right of the image. When Hiroshige was in his late 50s, he drew this series (Twelve Views of Mt. Fuji). They were originally sketchbooks/picture albums of hand-painting. They are very delicate, and the subtle colors are beautiful. This woodblock print is a high-quality Fukkoku Mokuhan (reproduction woodblock print) by Yoshio Kawazura (1880–1963). Printed in Taisho 14 (1925). This is rarely on the market. It is still tipped on the original folder. Technique: Woodblock Paper size: 14 inc
