Beautiful woodblock print "Kawaguchiko Fukin" (Around Lake Kawaguchi) is by Koichi Okumura (1904-1974). Wonderful autumn image with Mt. Fuji and persimmon. Nice colors and contrast. Printer: Saburo Shinmi, Carver: Michio Nagashima and Old Unsodo publisher seal on the right margin. Title "Kawaguchiko Fukin "(Around Lake Kawaguchi), artist name "Okumura Koichi saku", and dated "Showa 24 nen 6 gatsu" (Jun 1949) in Japanese on the left margin. Outstanding condition for its age. Genuine Japanese woodblock print.  Hard to find these old original first edition prints nowadays.  Koichi Okumura (1904 - 1974) was an artist in Kyoto who designed woodblock prints for the Unsodo publisher. Okumura was a Nihon-ga (Japanese-style painting) painter. He is a well-known very famous Japanese painting artist in Japan. Technique: Woodblock Paper size: 15 and 7/8 by 10 and 1/4 inches.
