Discover the major wine denominations of Northern Italy’s Friuli-Venezia Giulia. Explore the mountainous region between Venice and Slovenia. Learn about the geography, climate, the indigenous and international grape varieties, the importance of “orange wines” and an introduction to foods and culture of the region. A portion of the class will be dedicated to review of northern Italian regions covered in prior classes. This workshop can be taken as part of the Italian Wine Scholar North program or on its own.
