Suncatcher No. 15 - High Octane

Peak November foliage glows in this moment from the Great Smoky Mountains National Park near my home in east Tennessee.  I committed the cardinal sin of wandering off of the hiking trail to get "just the right angle" for this subject and I paid the price a week later when I got poison ivy on my ankles while in New York City. Yup. You read that correctly. Even though I had laundered my pants before leaving to go to the city, there was apparently a little bit of "residue" still on the leg cuffs. I didn't love taking that bit of home with me up to the city, but I still believe this view was totally worth it. We artists sacrifice for our work!
